Hints

To help minimize mud and damage here are a few hints:

  • I am happy to come in the back door
  • Have a mat at the door so I can clean my boots before entering
  • Have a door stop so I can get through doors without banging tools
  • Make certain I have a clear path to the work area
  • Remove any fragile items from the area
  • Place towels under closed doors to stop dust spreading.
  • Let me know if there are items/areas of concern
  • Raise any concerns you have ASAP
  • Anything that looks like cement sheet will need to be tested for asbestos.

Cleanup

  • I bring a brush and pan and small vaacum cleaner to cleanup
  • I am happy to give the floor a quick mop if you can supply same
  • Any waste materials will be deposited neatly in your bin
  • When painting we will need access to an area to clean paint brushes
  • Dust and noise are somewhat inevitable.

Charges:

I aim to ensure there are no surprises and will talk to you during the process should any unexpected issues arise.

  • You will need to pay the callout fee to confirm your booking - I will send you a payment link
  • The first fifteen minutes is included in the callout fee.
  • I bill in 15 minutes blocks or part there of
  • If I need materials, beyond a few basic screws, you will be charged for those materials - this will be discussed before hand
  • I supply digital receipts and will need an email address to send the receipt
  • Credit Card only unless you have the exact amount - I don't carry any cash.
  • Charges apply from when I arrive until tools are packed.

Insurance

  • Ivanhoe Handyman Services carry $10 million public liability - this covers injury to humans but not property
